NSW schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics. Approved providers deliver these, where available.
At Sutherland North Public School, Special Religious Education (SRE) and Special Education in Ethics (SEE) is delivered on Thursday morning from 9.10 to 9.40am.
On enrolment, parents/carers will be given the SRE/SEE participation letter to complete and return. After the intial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE/SEE should be given to the school office in writing.
The following SRE/SEE classes are offered at Sutherland North Public School:
Combined Christian SRE is provided by the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, Australian Christian Churches, Baptist Union of NSW and Uniting Church in Australia (NSW & ACT Synod). Combined Christian scripture is available for Years K-6.
Catholic SRE is provided by the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney. Catholic Scripture is available for Years K-6.
Ethics is provided by Primary Ethics Ltd https://primaryethics.com.au. Ethics is available for Years 3 and 4.
During the time that SRE/SEE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and will be supervised in activities such as reading.
